Welcome to Pack 391!

"I promise to do my best
To do my duty to God and my country,
To help other people, and
To obey the Law of the Pack.
"  Cub Scout Promise

      November Pack Meeting

Remember November's pack meeting is early this month, falling on the 13th.  Build a paper airplane and bring it to show off to your friends and compete in a distance and trick contest.  We will also be handing out awards and making place mats for our senior citizen friends.

Thank you for visiting the home page of Pack 391.  Based in El Cajon, California, Pack 391 is an exciting and active cub scout troop of around 50 boys aged 6-11.

As Cub Scouts we try to offer the boys lots of different experiences:  From participating in parades, camping at various scout camps, the famous pinewood derby, or just getting together to try new things with other cub scouts!

Why the Cub Scouts?

Since 1930, the Boy Scouts of America has helped younger boys through Cub Scouting. It is a year-round family program designed for boys who are in the first through fifth grade. Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the purposes of Cub Scouting. Currently, Cub Scouting is the largest of the BSA's three traditional membership divisions. (The others are Boy Scouting and Venturing.)

The 10 purposes of Cub Scouting are:

  1. Character Development
  2. Spiritual Growth
  3. Good Citizenship
  4. Sportsmanship and Fitness
  5. Family Understanding
  6. Respectful Relationships
  7. Personal Achievement
  8. Friendly Service
  9. Fun and Adventure
  10. Preparation for Boy Scouts
